Rolf Harris has been arrested on suspicion of sex offences, The Sun can reveal.
The 83-year-old TV star and singer was held over historic sex abuse allegations by police from the inquiry set up following the Jimmy Savile scandal. Senior detectives have been investigating Harris, who once painted the Queen, for more than four months.
Cops first raided his Berkshire home on November 24 last year — but he was not at home.
He was interviewed under caution on November 29 after attending a South London police premises by appointment.
Harris, who has performed several gigs and appeared on TV since emerging as a suspect, was then arrested on March 28.
The arrest, over alleged offences not linked to Savile, came two days before his 83rd birthday.
Scotland Yard said: “An 82-year-old man from Berkshire was arrested by officers on Operation Yewtree on suspicion of sexual offences.
“He has been bailed to a date in May pending further enquiries. The individual falls under the strand of the investigation we have termed ‘others’.”
Police have refused to give any details of the allegations. It is understood Harris vehemently denies any wrongdoing.

Police believe they have smashed what could be Britain’s biggest child-sex ring.
Six men have been arrested so far and officers have identified almost 50 alleged victims of rape, abuse and sex slavery aged as young as 12.
Detectives fear those numbers could easily reach more than 100 in a case potentially bigger than the Rochdale grooming scandal.
The men suspected of carrying out the abuse are of various nationalities, a source said.
Police investigating the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal are preparing to arrest more celebrities within weeks, it has been revealed.
Some ‘very high-profile figures’ are said to be among the new names reported to Operation Yewtree detectives by alleged victims.
The police promise comes as former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis was arrested for the second time over alleged sexual offences – though he again proclaimed his innocence.
Operation Yewtree was set up last year amid revelations of how the late TV presenter and DJ Savile had escaped prosecution despite decades of allegations against him.
Among those already arrested since the probe was launched are Travis, comedian Jim Davidson, PR consultant Max Clifford and disgraced pop star Gary Glitter.

The recently suspended manager of an Army day-care center that has been roiled by allegations of abuse by caregivers and lax personnel background checks was charged with stealing money from the D.C. charter school she previously ran by wiring funds to a foster child in her care, according to court documents and officials.
Monique S. Murdock, 44, of Fort Washington, was charged Jan. 18 with theft from a program that receives federal funds. A week earlier, the Army had notified parents of children at the Pentagon’s largest day-care center that Murdock had been “placed on administrative leave pending completion of ongoing investigations.”
